Eden works in Biosecurity New Zealand as a Specialist Advisor – Māori Capability. He has whakapapa to Ngāi Tahu, specifically Wairewa rūnaka where he grew up. He is currently on the governance boards for: Te Kāhui Kaupapa – Education New Zealand; Organics Association NZ; Community Research; Generation Zero; and Manaaki Whenua TTPG national collections. A focus in his career to date has been understanding and supporting how public systems can deliver better outcomes for the community and strengthening the position of Te Tiriti in Aotearoa.
